While the core was Brazilian—loud, affectionate, fueled by guaraná and pão de queijo —Part.6 saw a surge in international attendance. A contingent of 40 Germans, members of the Deutscher Naturisten Verband , arrived with towels and a surprisingly good attitude about samba. A group of Uruguayan swingers (who mistakenly thought the festival was for them) were politely redirected, and most ended up staying, realizing that naturism offered a different, more wholesome freedom.

The result? A palpable sense of safety. Women walked alone at midnight to the outdoor showers. Children (there were about 80 families present) played without hovering parents. The festival achieved that rarest of things: a true third space free from the male gaze.
