A SATA-to-USB adapter cable or enclosure to link the new drive to your computer.

Select the option on the screen using your controller. Plug your USB drive into your PC

Older guides claim you cannot exceed 2TB internally. With and modern Xbox OS updates (version 10.0.19041.etc), the console can support up to 8TB internally. However, for mechanical drives, stick to 2TB-5TB. Above that, the console may experience slow boot times or the "E208" error.

Follow the on-screen prompts. When asked, enter the disk number identified in Step 2. Warning: Ensure you pick the correct disk, as this will erase all data on it [1].

Connect the new drive to your PC using the SATA to USB adapter [1].
